Biophilic design is based on the principles of creating a connection with nature in your home or interior to create a sense of wellbeing and improve both mental and physical health, its so much more than simply adding a plant altough that does help! Green is a colour known to increase relaxation and wellbeing and is often used in spaces to create calm and a sense of peace. If you are unable to have nature visible though your window you can recreate this with a wallpaper or framed prints of plants and greenery on a feature wall. However this alone is not enough to create the levels of serenity that come from nature based materials in furniture and the blend of tropical modernism within an interior increases a sense of wellbeing.

Add elements such as cane furniture, rattan side tables or wooden dining or lounge furniture. Of course adding layers of texture also assists in this feeling of calm and we have selected tufted cushions in tones of white referencingthe simpler life of the Berber tribal sheep herders style alongside pillows with palm prints to bring greenery into the home.

Our bamboo seed trays and black indoor watering can design for watering and nurturing your selected plants, we recommend adding peace lilys as they have know air purification benefits alongside larger leafed indoor plants such as a monstera or rubber plant.
